Early morning snow showers

 I spotted the cattle below Cock Hill when looking at the light on the snow capped top of the hill.  Woodpigeon in front of the foreground trees - moments earlier it was 40 Curlew.

The Curlew numbers interested me enough to battle through afternoon hail showers from the opposite direction and I got my reward - around 125 ( more than that)  Curlew took off as one near Blackshaw Farm (extra photo).  So it was as I suspected that I was only seeing part of the Curlew flock from the road.
