Carots de Tilques

These are the carrots we bought in the St omer market two weeks ago. They were grown in Tilques near to the Chateau where we stayed.

In spite of their size and firmness they are very tasty and I made soup with a few of them. I haven't had to refrigerate them and they are as fresh as the day we bought them.
