Cliffe Castle

The weather is truly awful, with the rivers locally all at dangerously high levels. We are trying to get out somewhere everyday, as gentle walking is very good for Mr H’s recuperation. Cliffe Castle was our chosen destination and it was well worth the visit. The museum was busy and it was great seeing lots of families there, all with well behaved interested children.

I saw the new stained glass for the first time which was lovely, and in keeping with the building , (unlike the Hockney window in Westminster Abbey), but the clog making display caught my eye....... prior to being Mrs H, I was J. Thornton so it had to be.
