We Wuz Robbed . . .

First of all Ireland let us down and failed to beat Wales at Cardiff!!
 
Then complements of the ‘Commentators Curse’ this morning on Radio 4 we did not manage to beat Scotland at Twickenham to win the Calcutta Cup, let alone the sixteen tries needed to beat Wales with their extra three points for winning the Grand Slam!!!  (Actually twelve tries would have done as we were well ahead of Wales with field points difference.) This was the first time that Scotland had won the cup at Twickenham since 1983, and they deserved it, even if it was a 38 points draw (a record in Rugby Union I believe).
 
Having said that we were treated to three great matches today.  Brilliant Rugby!
 
At least we have come second in the Six Nations, but RIP Calcutta Cup for another year.
