Postponed

Frustrating trip to Dunfermline for a football match that wasn't. A good example of how not to do your social media from Dunfermline's official twitter feed. At 9am they tweeted that the pitch was playable, there was no plan for a pitch inspection and they would update if there was any change. The only other updates in the morning are both plugging the match and then next thing, sometime after 1:30pm, the game is called off. As the club statement said, staff had been there since 8:30am - just not anyone able to post updates on Twitter as I can't believe condition suddenly caused the postponement at 1:30pm. Why weren't there picture of the deteriorating conditions in the morning? At least raising the possibility that things were getting worse? And of course Scotrail/Abellio continued their good run of form with another cancellation to delay my journey back to Edinburgh by half an hour. And Leeds lost at home. Mutter, mutter, grumble, grumble. Just as well it's only football and doesn't matter.
