Gently down the stream

Beauty

This morning I went into the cathedral to see if there was a book of condolence to sign for those poor devasted families and communites in New Zealand.  There wasn't, though the guide I talked to said she thought there may be one opened tomorrow.  There was a prayer written out next to one of the stands of candles.

There was also an unrelated but impressive exhibition of artwork (mostly painting and textiles) done by GCSE students from a local school.  All work was based on aspects of the cathedral itself.  This is a small section of one of the pieces, a patch of beauty to set against the appalling cruelty and ugliness of this week.

Love to you all  xx
