dementia

we visited Fleur's granny today. She is 91 years old and has lost her husband about 6 years ago. They lived together for more than 50 years in the same old house in the Dutch-Belgian Polder. A house with no bathroom (one uses the kitchen) and the WC is outside.
She is in a retirement home now and dementia has started. She did recognize us today, but it happened that she didn't. Her younger (85) sister visited her but she did not recognize her, I doubt that she still remembers what sister means.

Here she is, pointing with her finger at something in her memory that always just slips away.
