High Street meets Market Street
This is the view from the top floor of the bathroom shop in our town, the reflections giving away that this is taken through glass. It's a wonderful building, formerly the Co-Operative Society's main base here. The hand-rail and wooden paneling up to the top floor offer a glimpse of its former standing. From this spot you can see about two thirds of our shops. The empty shop where I displayed my photos in the Art's trail is on the very left. Tucked to the left of the road heading down the hill is the phone box I blipped yesterday. Further along we have the coffee shop, newsagents and chippie. I'd not gotten round to blipping the nailbar, that closed a week or so ago when they found 400 cannabis plants nestling under one of these very roofs. Organised crime right under our noses.
Welcome to our town and thank you for sharing it with me.
Co-op records show we used to have wick manufacturers here. Some arrived today, with wax, from a great company in Hull called 4Candles'! Tomorrow H & C are coming and Christmas present making will commence. I can't wait :-)
