Urban beauty

Edinburgh is such a photogenic city. With so many hills and parks and sweeping vistas the urban landscape in this city is ever changing. I took a blip of the Salisbury Crags and Arthur’s Seat on my walk home from work this evening as the light was just ever so slightly beginning to fade. I walk home this way so often and this view, whilst unchanged for thousands of years, is constantly changing.

It got me thinking about my blip of the works on the old St James’s site yesterday that the pace of change and development in Edinburgh at the moment has never been as fast for probably 250 years. There are cranes and building works everywhere and on every gap site imaginable. Despite everything changing, in some ways the timeless majesty of this city never changes.
