Padstow

A long drive today down to Padstow via Marlborough where we stopped off for coffee and cake at Poppy's tea rooms. We've been here many times before but this is our first time staying in a flat on the harbour, and it won't be our last. The flat is lovely, very well equipped and spacious, and with great views over the harbour and estuary. This is the view from our balcony as the ferry from Rock came in to dock.

The weather isn't promising for the next day or so but we always expect and prepare for bad weather when we come away at this time of year; last year we got stuck in snow during the 'Beast from the East' and couldn't get home again, so hopefully this year will be a bit better!
