The News

Back blip, the day after.

The words, Christchurch, New Zealand, came across the radio today. As I heard the name, I quickened with joy and anticipation, thinking immediately of my dear blip friends, and eagerly awaited the news. But then, the rest of the story tumbled out. An earthquake of a terribly different kind. I could hardly fathom these two things, Christchurch and shooting, bound together in one news story. My heart sank, and I repeated the words a couple times, letting it sink in. I am so sad, so sorry with you, my dear friends in Christchurch. May peace be quickly restored. May comfort come to the injured, to the families of the lost, to your city.
