A shocking day

I went into the inner city today- don't do it very often. I needed to take some carry cages for  kea and Kiwi into town to meet a bus. The driver took them to Arthur's Pass for free. Great guy. This is him by his bus. About a minute later literally all "hell let loose". With in a few minutes we were aware of the terrible situation that has happened in my beautiful city,with many police cars screaming all around us.I headed home rapidly, and have door locked!!!At the moment I am unaware of the number of fatalities, but suspect there are many. Such a sad day for our beautiful city..
