Papa Sparrow on his porch

The sparrows are so busy, claiming the birdhouses on the barn and working on their nests. We have so many sparrows, most hang out in the bushes near the house, but a select few manage to score a house on the barn and set up housekeeping all year round.

Extras, Nora on her grandparents' deck in her new mud season boots. T and I bought her that little lobster coat in Ellsworth, Maine last summer.

The second is a hawk that just arrived in the backyard after I posted the sparrow. He was too late to the party, all our birds had tucked in for the night.

For the Record,
This day came in with sun and clouds, lots of snow melting. It's mud season now.

All hands happy to see the snow receding.
