GONDOLA SCENE IN VENICE

We were awake at 7 am and saw an all blue sky.
We went to the supermarket at the Zattere, which opened at half past eight, but first had our espresso in a little bar, owned by Chinese or Vietnamese persons. 
We walked along the Laguna and sat on a stone bench, eyes wide open, taking everything in. How lucky we felt to be here, a lovely day awaiting us.
When we had breakfast, the owner came for the registration and pay, and we had a nice conversation and could ask a lot of questions.
Then we walked again to the Zattere and walked to the end where the big church is and a beautiful view at the Doge Palace.
We walked another route to the Academia Bridge and from there to the San Marco Place. It was still quiet there and we walked the different Rivas till we reached the Via Garibaldi where we knew a small vegan restaurant and we had our meal there.
i had seen in my guide that there was a small island called Isola di Pietro where we visited a former Basilique and next to the church there stood a beautiful Campanile. A new discovery for us. So wonderful quiet this environment.
We walked further till we reached the Giardino Pubblico and after some rest we walked all the way back to Dorsoduro-home.
Now we have eaten sandwiches at home and time for blip.
