Crimping with style

One of the most exciting things to happen this year (no hint of exaggeration) is my partner presenting me with a box of staples, and a few tense moments later, the satisfying clunk followed by a perfectly produced closed staple. Nothing could be more banal, could it? Only the stapler used in this everyday process hasn't been tasked with the job for 40+ years in my late father's office! This is a Velos 323 Made in England HMSO stapler. The wonder of the interweb lead me to discover only now that it takes standard 24/6 staples. And so it is reborn, handsomely gracing my desk, its every depression delivering great joy!
