Morning walk

L joined me this morning on our varied terrain walk, she plans to run it tomorrow morning. All on farm land we set off uphill from home avoiding the boggy muddy stretches then a brisk pace along the  wooded plantation edge which separates one farm from the next. Yesterday when I walked the edge I was sheltered from the wind but today we were battling into it! Fin and Pollaidh (L's dog) covered at least 5 times the ground we did. There were still pheasants to flush out and lots of interesting smells to follow. Once on the south facing side of the planation we were sheltered from the wind and could take in some fine views towards the Cheviots, not much snow left on them!
