John Muir goes festive
This is my first blip for a while as I have been under the weather of late. At least this cheered me up a bit! The statue is of John Muir as a young boy in the town on his birth, Dunbar, is ready for the festive season!
John Muir (21 April 1838 - 24 December 1914 was a Scottish-born American naturalist, author, and early advocate of preservation of wilderness in the United States. The Sierra Club, which he founded, is now one of the most important conservation organizations in the United States. He is today often referred to as the "Father of the National Parks."
