St Nectan

Well, I'm back!!

The break was great fun.  Sis and I (and Jax) stayed on a farm just outside Hartland in North Devon.  This is the local church, St Nectan's.

St Nectan was a 5th/6th Celtic hermit, as you ask, and his church - though much later than him - is lovely and surprisingly large for so small a place.  It has this beautiful ceiling, relatively recently restored, though I don't know why the panels are only covering part of it.

There is also a shot of another piece of the ceiling in Extras, plus one of 'The Pope's Room', complete with stocks!?!!
