The Siskins are back!

When I was showing Eda the Goldfinches (lots of them) on the feeders earlier in the week I thought I spotted some Siskins.

I love these little birds and their distinctive markings. This one stayed on the niger seed feeder for ages whilst I faffed about changing cameras and lenses. Not the closet shot I took but I felt it was reasonably crisp considering it was taken through rain spattered windows and you can see some of it’s lovely back markings.

Bright and very breezy at the moment. An horrendously wild night with Storm Gareth but apart from a few plant pots flying around, the garden is still looking nice and Spring like!
