Velenje

Back to my hometown. Winter fairytale is melting down, Christmas vibe looks rather sad. I see my town with different eyes now, I'm (almost) a total stranger here, my friends have left, I hardly know anyone. People look tired and worn out, life is getting harder. Like other towns around the country, Velenje is being eaten up by huge deserted shopping malls.

Here's the Tito Square. As far as we are concerned, we never lived emotionally, spiritually or even geographically in 'Eastern' Europe, though today it very much looks like it. Or is it just me?!
