More Than One Ibis

Experts disagree on the plural of 'ibis' (ibides, ibes, ibises) hence my title!

There are always some ambling around on South Bank, Brisbane, where I blipped this. They are large (about 70cm / 30 inches long) with a beak 16.7cm / 6.6 inches long and so can be startling for those who've never seen one up close before. They can live to around 28 years old - that's pretty old for a bird.

I had another brief visit to the ATP7 art exhibition a few minutes' walk from this pool (need more time!) then hopped on a train back up to Maleny and am now catching up on work tasks.
