Enchantment in the Afternoon

Mike had to go to Reguengos this afternoon to buy floorboards for above the bathroom, and other bits, so I got dropped off at the causeway, and spent a happy hour wandering near the Lake and trying to photograph the birds. Not much luck, though I did see two rabbits, and got some good views of Mourão from a culvert.

As we arrived home, the sun was low, and the whole place was enchanted; the ground covered with these purple flowers that have suddenly sprung up.

Gratefuls:
- breakfast in the sun, trying to prioritise jobs for the next weeks till the family come, we've made a list, now to stick to it
- planting a load of bulbs in pots that were going cheap at Lidl yesterday, let's see if they come to anything...
- these small purple flowers springing up all over, and that the sheep haven't eaten them
