Blossom time

Having dropped my ailing car off at the garage this morning, I was waiting at the bus stop opposite Killearn Kirk when I noticed the little tree sporting its pretty pink blossom. Much earlier than usual, I think.

When the double-decker bus to Glasgow duly arrived, I did something I hadn't done for many years - I went upstairs and sat in one of the front seats. What a view! It was great, the only problem being that there was no escape from the blinding sun.

By the time I returned from the metropolis mid-afternoon, the forecast rain and strong winds had arrived.

Unfortunately my car needs a new thermostat housing unit, which won't arrive until tomorrow, so Ian gave me a lift home. Great service!

Battening down the hatches in preparation for a wild night...
