The rolling of the eggs

The Sandhill Cranes are nesting and due to hatch anyway.. We are on egg watch to check for the cracking of the egg..The baby sandhill has and eggtooth and chips away at the egg when it is ready to hatch..  We want to be there when that happens..   The Sandhill has been sitting on the eggs for 28 days..They can hatch 29-32 days.  So everyday you have to be at the nest just in case she sat before you think she did.
