Imposter?

How did the creamy coloured, very Siamese looking cat we rescued from the Cats' Protection turn into this much darker puss?  Has somebody swapped Simba when we weren't looking?  The picture on the left was taken when he was 6 months old, the one on the right when he is 8 and a half:-)  His Dad was a pure bred Siamese and his Mum a Silver Tabby, so the tabby genes are obviously the stronger ones.  I hadn't realised how much he had changed until I found this old photo.

A day at home for me, as TJ was fishing on the Tay.  He actually caught a salmon, his first in ages, so he was really chuffed.  I did some washing and got it dry in the lovely sunshine, then settled down in the very warm conservatory with a good book, so we both had a lovely day.
