Dexter Looking Out the Deck Door Windows
It was the first full day of Daylight Saving Time, and so of course, nobody was really sure what time it was. But we were making due, trying to act like the new time was the regular time. And feeling kind of weird about it all, to be honest.
That Tabbycat, for his part, seemed to know that something was up. He's been oddly active for the past week or two, running around through his box tunnel well into the middle of the evening. (This is a fuzz-boy who usually goes down for his evening nap around 6 pm and stays there till bedtime.)
Late on this afternoon, the sun arrived to perk things up. My husband went out and sat in the yard to catch some rays. Dexter spent some time, just like this, sitting and looking out the deck door windows.
Then he slowly made his annual migration back to the box by the deck doors, where he napped in his box all evening, for the first time in months. Spring MUST be coming. The Great Tabbycat Migration tells us so!
The soundtrack: Creedence Clearwater Revival, Looking Out My Back Door.
