Rest in Peace

For today's post I was thinking of uploading my freshly painted festive nails, but instead I thought it would be more fitting to dedicate my photo in memory of the 27 children and adults who died in the Connecticut primary school shooting.

Advent is not only a run to Christmas, but is also a time to remember family, friends etc, to spread joy to others with festive cheer and to remember to give. However, many families will not be celebrating the run up to Christmas tonight. Instead, they will be mourning the fact that they have lost their children in today's primary school shooting in Connecticut. It distresses me to think that families, who would normally be putting up Christmas trees with their children or wrapping presents for their children, will now in fact be laying down flowers for their children.

20 children and 7 adults were killed today.

Maybe now, when Christmas approaches, we not only think of the birth of one inspirational baby, but the death of many other children.
