Here it is!
Today we had some clear skies so I was able to go outside to the new used travel trailer to get it ready for some traveling. We have booked a two night stay at a park in Yemassee where we will be close to the Savannah Wildlife Preserve, Bear Island (where I saw those roseate spoonbills) and to Beaufort and then Hunting Island Beach. The weather is looking great for the three days and 2 nights..finally! Mild temps during the day and only down in the low 50s at night. We might not even have to run the heat!
The bed is a Murphy bed that is folded up to the wall behind the sofa! It was a real bugger to make it up with the sheets and blanket but then it has straps to hold the bedding in place when it folds up! It will be ready for us! Towels in the bathroom where there is more than enough room...no elbow banging on the wall when one tries to turn around as in some trailers. And the little shower stall in a nice size. Yeah for that. The table is only a 2 seater but that is fine as we have a small table for outside under the canopy where can enjoy the outdoors. And maybe meet up with some other campers.
The RV park we found online looks like a great place. It has a dog park and a nature trail plus a big pond for fishing. Even though we won't be spending too much time at the park, we will check these things out for sure. It would be nice to catch a couple of fish to eat!
Trying to finish up the food list of what to take and then the toiletries. Clothes can be packed up on Tuesday morning. We will be pulling out around 10am. Two hour ride until we get to the location of our first camping adventure!
