Messing About in Boats

A difficult-to-choose-Blip day, which means a day filled with beauty, and how does one choose just one image to sum it all up?

Went to the marina at Amieira, and hired a double kayak for four hours. Paddled out to an island in the Lake, had a picnic, and tried to have a nap, but too many rocks in my back and ants crawling over my arms... My photographic side grieved that we left just as the light was going gorgeous, but wanted to see the Medronho (arbutus unedo) Museum at Alqueva village, definitely worth it; we've been given one to plant by R's parents.

Gratefuls:
- sparkling diamond paths across the blue, blue water
- roadsides lined with shining purple lavender 
- crescent moon disappearing behind Monsaraz
