Rude awakening

Grandson Caspar asked if we had any wood as he is making a house for his den, a tad ambitious possibly but we like to oblige! Graham hunted in the shed and found some planks from an old bed - he never throws anything away! Only problem was, this spider had taken up residence. From my limited search on google I think it’s a garden spider. I dislike all spiders ... I had to remove it ( ie take it off here and relocate to the garden) before I moved the wood to my car! Don’t fancy having it wandering around my car!
