St Mary's Church, Westonzoyland
We were back at Kate's this morning to put together some of the furniture she bought yesterday and empty the last few boxes.
Our journey to her new place takes us through the village of Westonzoyland, close to the site of the Battle Of Sedgemoor where, in 1685, King James's troops put down the Monmouth Rebellion. 500 rebel troops were held in this church before being tried. Many of them were sentenced to death and hanged on gibbets along the roadside.
It looked peaceful enough today, despite the high winds.
