Yes, I visited my Iraqi friend today - I call him "Zaqui" - he doesn't mind - he calls me "Michael Jackson" - fair enough!

Anyway I was pleased to see him because he does a decent job & he was pleased with the marmalade.

Learned that the reason I hadn't seen him was that he'd just spent four months in Baghdad for the first time in twenty years, visiting what remains of his family after Saddam Hussein's killing spree. Asked him how it was these days? And he said it was pretty much OK apart from the bloody politicians...

So it goes.
