A little voice in my head says STOP

The injury to a musle in my left Glute (piraformis) has been diagnosed and rest with careful and specific stretches has been advised.
What do "they" know, Pah, I have a big race  to run in 5 weeks time.
It appears "they" know a lot more than I do.
I've been stood up in a pub in Sheffield most of the afternoon on a reunion meeting with work colleagues. By the time I got on the Bus home from Warrington Central Station, I could barely move, the pain was making my eyes water and a little voice in my head said.....
