What a surprise!...what a Pity!

We were up and out walking this morning before 8.30.......

Altea had had several large, mature, tall pine trees on the sea front.....over many years

Today....with some careful planning...some of these large trees were being removed
Can only assume that the trees were a safety risk...
and for that reason, were being removed by the ‘gruas’.....
My Blip shows the crane lifting the huge trunk of the tree.......across the public road.....where it could be safe to cut up into more manageable sized pieces

A great pity that we are losing these rather magnificent old
trees
