starting point

Mr rat went for a long run in north Fife today and I joined dozens of  my club members in the Cupar 5 (mile) road race.
It was bright but with a 23mph headwind for the first half of the race so I was doubtful of acieving the time I wanted to prove to myself I could have got a gold club standard last year if I hadn't been ill for the crucial race.
I really struggled against the slight uphill and the wind but felt the
benefit on the way back and did the secong half 5 mins faster than the first - and was nearly a minute quicker than the target time. Though I say it myself I have to say I was very pleased!
There weren't many opportunities for photography but this line of trees was rather pleasing - not so just after we finished when there was a sleet/snow shower.
P.S. Just realised this is my 8th Blipday
