Seeking sun

Our time outdoors was short and oriented toward maximum sunshine,  hence the parking lot. When I suggested various turns on our walk, my mom said, "Whatever you want is fine." But not so much when I was trying to leave later and she said she had to stay with me forever. I said yes, we're together forever (in many senses, right?), but then made a running break down the hall. Not our best parting, but I'll see her today and we can try again!
