That Golden Light

This is a shot of my old hunting ground with the old Church Spire standing against the Evening light.This was taken from a 'high point' about two miles away across the valley.It was the colour of the sky that drew me to the shot


Nikon D3 +Nikon 70-300 VR @ 300mm !/400th sec. @ f5.6 ISO 200.Using spot metering to save the sky colour from burning out. Being as the focus was @ infinity is was more important to keep a steady shot,hence the fast shutter speed. Even the birds in flight are saved?
