Welcome Back to the Nest

Returned home late this afternoon from a Wonderful Visit to Cumberland Island, GA. As I was watering some potted plants on our patio, I discovered this clutch of Carolina Wren eggs. They had been building the nest when we left on our trip last Sunday. I've been watching but have yet to see either of the parent birds return to it. They choose a rather busy area in which to raise their family and may have had second thoughts about it! I'll keep you posted. Wishing you all a very relaxing weekend!
