Ripley Returns (FF8_2019)

These two Snake's Head Fritilliary flowers reminded me of the Alien in the film series,  and as today marks Ripley's retun to earth I think that makes them a suitable blip subject.

Gill has picked up an infection from somewhere - she was in significant pain yesterday evening so we made a trip to the out of hours GP at Warwick Hospital.  An alternative antibiotic has made a lot of difference so she was well enough for a trip to the garden centre this afternoon. This fritilliary is actually for me - intended as a blip subject - she has 200l of compost and a witch hazel.

18 8s f8 images put together in Helicon Focus.  Not easy to get the source images manually so I have used Helicon Remote which sorts out the focussing intervals and auto pilots the camera between them.  Possibly a draft blew through the room as it was taking the middle images?  The broad part of the flowers look less well focussed than the rest.
