Knarly

Flat light made for difficult shooting conditions today and hard to get any texture in the snow. I managed to find some under the cover of this knarly old fallen tree branch. I liked the rich texture in the wood and the burls.

I tried to get a view through underneath, but that proved a bit too much. Besides which there wasn't much to feature anyway. At least the footprints in the snow broke up that large white space under the branch.

I could have dropped a few inches to get a cleaner shot of the pile of snow on top of the branch. Attention to details!
