High tide

This is a view of the rocky beach, and Oceanside Pier in the distance, that is just 3 blocks from our vacation condo. Well, the pier is about 1.5 miles away to the north, but the ocean is just 3 blocks from us. You can see from the pebbles tumbling in the surf why this is a prime place to find smooth sea glass (when the tide is lower)!
In other news, Thursdays are our favorite day here because there is a Sunset Market near the pier. This market is special because of the many booths selling exotic foods. We consider it date night! Hubby loves BBQ turkey legs, and the folks we have been buying from for the last 3 years know him by name. Well, we found out tonight that they have moved on and another BBQ company has rented their booth. Sadly, they do not have turkey legs, just chicken legs, ribs, and brisket. Hubby said it fine, but he'll be trying other booths next week.
