Trying not to blow a fuse

Now I do not profess to be an expert when it comes to trying to fix the car. Far from it. But one of the joys of owning something like a Mini is it can almost be considered a good 'starter' classic for learning the ropes. It's all pretty simple. And Haynes manual in hand, a few YouTube videos for reference, that has largely held true.

Mechanical stuff is, in the main, easier. Things can be wrestled out and in, hit with a hammer, shoved and harried. Electrics I'm not so keen on.

Last week, after getting the car fired up for the first time in about 5 months, I rashly booked it in for its MOT on the 7th. I knew, after actually tracking down my overall electrical issue, that there only remained a few snagging things to get done. One of which, the only remaining issue tonight, is the main beam on the lights not working.

I can categorically state it's not a blown fuse.
