Be prepared

U3A outing today for a behind the scenes tour of the Royal Albert Hall.  Absolutely fascinating and highly recommended.  This was taken from one of the boxes and shows preparations for a concert at which 1000 children from various schools were taking part. Work is near completion on excavating below the hall to increase the capacity for even more events.  We were able to 'view' the box belonging to the Queen and the retiring room but not allowed to sit on the chairs!  Apparently when Royalty are not attending, the box (which holds 20 people) is used by the Palace staff to enjoy concerts etc.
We then went to the V&A museum for refreshment and a wander before getting the coach back to a wet and dreary MK
