Hall Wath

Wath is an obsolete term for a ford or fordable stream.

In this case there is a large building, according to Google Maps, which could have been a Hall, and the River Witham passes at the bottom of the lane. I suppose there could have been a ford at one time.

I'll have to go and have look one day, when the weather gets warmer.
