Introductions
As you may be able to tell, this is my deskfront and noticeboard at home. On vacation at the moment. Not a holiday but a vacation; I've vacated college but nevertheless must keep the same workrate at home. No chance! What with Sky+, Heineken Cup Rugby and a full cupboard and fridge, minimal work has been done in the first two weeks of 'vacation'. Even now, a scheduled six hours of work today meant to start half an hour ago has not yet been thought about ...
Oh well, my exam in January is essentially a mock of a mock ... the mock being in late April and the real exam in the summer of 2014 ...
So essentially, this photo is meant to summarise my life. Of course, it infers an awful lot about my social life. The stack of history books is meant to imply i) my love for history and ii) the sheer amount of history I have been doing and will be doing in the coming years. Currently on the table (punnage) is Early Modern Britain; ergo 1485-1660. Not so modern according to most people!
Another unmissable feature of the photo is the amount of Jesus in it! I love living for Jesus whether I am in Yorkshire or in Cambridge and I hope the photo really gets to grips with it. But other aspects of my life are present other than God and History. A receipt for one of my close friend's (R) chamber choir concerts takes me back to one of my favourite moments of last term and hopefully many more will follow! A flyer for 'Houseparty 2013' makes me look forward to the future where alongside other important stuff - like sharing God - I will be re-united with three of my close, close friend; the aforementioned R, T and J. And tickets to see my favourite band - the Avett Brothers - with my best mate M on his birthday lie just above that!
So this is me! If anyone decides they want to keep up with this - hopefully you'll witness so many events I look forward to with earnest as I live my life!
