Half Iron Man -Weymouth

It was pouring with rain as we arrived at 7 am ready to cheer Mike on. It was windy and not quite light so the start of the swim was delayed and the course shortened. The swimmers looked pretty cold as they waited wearing only their thin wetsuits.This photo shows Mike(left) with his college friend Henry waiting near the start. The extras show the swim, cycling,run and Mike with his medal. Pretty amazing effort. I can't imaging doing all that hard exercise for the 5 hours 50 minutes it took him.
