Here we have a photo of a Mongolian Death Worm. Well ok, it's just a tomato, but it's how I imagined a Mongolian Death Worm to look after reading an article about it in the newspaper last night!

Here are the 'facts'..

/This bright red sausage-shaped creature, 20 inches long and as thick as a man's arm, lives in the most desolate parts of the Gobi Desert. It has no visible eyes, nostrils or mouth, is rather like a very lengthy salami and has the ability to spew out acid on contact, as well as being able to kill humans a foot away with an electrical discharge.

Fortunately, it hibernates for most of the year, so you only have to worry if you are in the Gobi in June and July, or a little earlier if the ground is wet, as rain brings the worm to the surface, where they like to attack feet

That's my day trip out to the most desolate part of the Gobi Desert cancelled then..back to Southend!

Enjoy your weekends!
