Some years ago our walking club had a holiday in Poland.  One of our number is Polish speaking, and that was a great bonus.  We walked in the Tatra Mountains at Zakopane, fabulous climbs, harder than we do now.  We also had some time in Krakow, which is a very interesting city, and some of us did some walking tours around the city.  We had such a good time that we went back a couple of years later, and visited other parts of the country.

One day a woman came to our hotel in the evening selling those dolls (Polish not Russian) and I succumbed to her sales pitch and bought some.  I rather like them..... I think there were six originally and one seems to have walked..... probably down the back of a bookcase or cupboard.  

Wet day today;  we had some of our trees and bushes cut today and the guy worked really hard, even in the rain, but has done a good job.
