In many places in Europe, we're used to walking on hillsides that are fairly bare, or at least not covered in dense forest. Here there's a special enjoyment in walking through the forest, noticing the changes in light and in the types of trees, and trying to spot birds, and then suddenly emerging and seeing a fantastic view.
