last chance to see
Hmmm. Other shots have more buses, another has a cyclist, bus and taxi making the most of the last day of vehicular movement along Princes Street. I generally find George Street more relaxed and safer to cycle down as there are only two lanes and more numerous things-which-slow-down-traffic including emerging parked cars and more pedestrians chancing it at random points; hopefully they remind bus and taxi drivers that there are things other than bus stops for which they must remain alert. Not being a bus user I have no idea which bus is going to stop at which stops and could not anticipate which buses would pull into which lane, nor when. Along Princes Street it's usually safest to just go as fast as possible and try to stay in front of everything and watch out for buses attempting to scrape you off against the pavement even though the removal of most of the railings made this technique less effective.
Didn't really seem like Friday today... slightly busier-seeming in the office than it's been for most of the week and it somehow seems longer than a week that we've been in our new location. Several times during the day I found myself admiring the natural light hitting my desktop. There's a slight problem with the sound of people chatting excitedly before and after meetings in the mini-corridor directly behind me which I hoped to reduce slightly with a small notice consisting of a photo of a boss holding his finger to his lips surmounted by the caption "QUIET PLEASE - please be mindful of your speaking-noises when entering and exiting meetings" but he took it down when he saw it as he didn't like his face. Another colleague will have to do, but which?
